Formed within the shell of the magnificent Pinctada maxima, Mother of Pearl carries the same luminous beauty that makes South Sea pearls among the most treasured in the world. Native to the warm tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific, this remarkable pearl oyster is the largest of its kind, growing up to 12 inches across.
Its inner shell reveals a naturally iridescent surface, shifting between soft ivory, blush, silver, and delicate flashes of ocean blue. Cut into an elegant teardrop, each piece preserves its own flowing pattern and subtle variations in color.

How should I care for my shells?
If shells appear dry simply apply a thin layer of high quality mineral oil as needed.
How should I care for my shadow boxes?
If the shells inside appear dry, gently open the metal tabs on the back and remove the inner card supporting the shells. Apply a thin layer of mineral oil to the shells as needed, avoiding contact with the cloth backing or frame.
If the acrylic front becomes scratched, use an acrylic scratch removal product like Novus, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Each piece is carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery. All items are protected with layers of cushioning wrap and secured with packing materials.
